Arkansas Licensed Associate Counselors

If you have completed a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health or another counseling program that makes you eligible for Licensed Associate Counselor status with the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling, our supervisor is specialized in honing your counseling skills and getting you on your way to your independent practice. We also provide consultation services for clinical mental health practitioners who seek collaboration or are interested in moving towards private practice. Online and in-person individual, dyadic, and group supervision is available.

Adam Maisen, LPC-S/TA
Adam has been working in mental health since 2004. He worked in a school-based environment from 2004 until 2019. He also has experience in both adult and adolescent day treatment. Adam has been in private practice since early 2019.
Adam has completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as TF-CBT. He is well aquainted with many modalities of therapy currently taught in graduate school. He takes an active role in staying current with changing dynamics in the field of counseling. He received his MS in Mental Health Counseling from Henderson State University in 2007. Henderson State University met the highest standards for counselor education and the program was accredited by CACREP.
Adam incorporates experiential, emotional, and cognitive processing into his interventions for helping clients work through challenges they face. He believes that taking an experiential approach to therapy is important. Adam is a Christian and is accepting of all types of worldviews. He is passionate about meeting others where they are and helping them to accomplish their goals.
